ABOUT BRAIN AND BEHAVIORAL ASSOCIATES

Our practice started in 2011 as a sole practitioner office (Rex Jung), seeing a few patients per month and occasional legal referrals. Over the years, we have grown to become the largest neuropsychology provider in the State of New Mexico. We now employ 7 neuropsychologists (2 full-time), 3 full-time post-doctoral fellows, and a full-time psychometrist. Our practice regularly sees 16-20 patients per week for comprehensive outpatient neuropsychological evaluations and consultation from a variety of regional hospital departments, community health centers, and individual providers, and from general providers and those of various specialties, including neurology, neurosurgery, psychiatry, physical medicine and rehabilitation. Patients present to our clinic with a wide range of cognitive, behavioral, medical, and psychiatric conditions, including cerebrovascular conditions (e.g., stroke), traumatic brain injury, movement disorders (e.g., Parkinson’s), neurodevelopmental disorders (e.g., autism, intellectual disability), neurodegenerative disorders (e.g., Alzheimer's), normal pressure hydrocephalus (NPH), cancer, complex/chronic medical conditions, and psychiatric disorders. 

Our practice will always be focused exclusively on providing excellent neuropsychological services — both clinical and forensic.

We can also provide expedited neuropsychological services for a flat fee. This provides our best services to diagnose and recommend treatment for your brain disorder in an extremely timely manner (within 2 weeks). This is the same excellent service we provide to all patients, but quicker, and outside of insurance constraints..

We accept Presbyterian, Medicaid, and Medicare insurances.

Brain and Behavioral Associates is led by Rex Jung, who was on faculty at the University of New Mexico in the Departments of Neurology (from 2003 to 2006) and the Department of Neurosurgery (from 2008 to 2021). He is now an Assistant Research Professor of Psychology at the University of New Mexico.

Rex received his training in clinical psychology, specializing in neuropsychology, at the University of New Mexico, in Albuquerque. He then completed an internship at Baylor College of Medicine in the departments of Neurosurgery and Behavioral Medicine, and postdoctoral training at the University of New Mexico in Psychiatry Research.
